With over 15 years of experience, I am excited to introduce myself as a gastroenterologist and hepatologist committed to providing compassionate care. Originally from Sri Lanka, I have served as a gastroenterologist and general physician in Taree, Foster, and Manning Base hospitals.
My Medical Journey
My medical career began at the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka, where I earned my Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree. I then pursued advanced training in general medicine and obtained an MD in medicine from the University of Colombo. After completing my training, I moved to Australia to specialize in gastroenterology. I have had the privilege of working at some of Australia’s most prestigious hospitals, including the Alfred Hospital, Frankston Hospital, Box Hill Hospital, Ballarat Hospital, Launceston Hospital, John Hunter Hospital, and Mater Hospital. I hold FRACP certification in General Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Hepatology.
